overnight in the east bay. it rattled nerves of some, others may have slept through it. the u-s-g-s reports a three point oh magnitude earthquake happened just before 2 o clock. the quake was about 3 miles east-northeastf front. there are no reports of damage or injuries. let's take a quick look outside this morning. san francisco nice day on tap. lots of sunshine expected. and a little warmer today than yesterday. meteorologist brian van aiken will have more on your bay area forecast coming up at 8-15. >> in florida today, the nascar race at daytona international speedway will go on as scheduled. this despite a crash saturday that injured dozens of people. the accident happened during the final lap of the nationwide series race. a protective fence kept the car on the tracks but debris was sent flying into the stands. more than 33 people were injured. track workers were scrambling all night to make repairs to a large section of the fence. daytona speedway's president spoke today about whether they felt prepared for yesterday's crash.
